Enhancements to HRIS
To better align our business processes with existing policy, the HR Strategic Initiatives and the Enterprise Applications & Solutions Integration (EASI) teams will be programming enhancements for recording personal days for USW and Confidential staff in HRIS.
This enhancement will also enable the University to implement online vacation and leave requests, as well as approvals via Employee Self-Service (currently in development for pilot launch later this year).
What is happening?
Unlimited paid personal leave days can be recorded for USW and Confidential staff in Infotype 2001 – Absences, Sub-type 2400.
Future State (July 2017):
Up to four (4) days or up to eight (8) half-days can be recorded for USW and Confidential staff in Infotype 2001 – Absences, Sub-type 2400.
When is this happening?
We plan to implement the enhancement in July 2017.
How will this impact you?
- Effective July 2017, either full or half-paid personal days can be posted in HRIS for Confidential and USW staff
- Entering individual hours for an employee will prompt an error
- Once the maximum number of personal leave days under policy are recorded (i.e., four), you will not be able to enter any additional days until the next July 1
